Very very cold by José Moreno

The past few days have been in very cold Xela, many under 0, but you do not know but the temperatures drop much more for days to -8 ° F in January so if you live in Xela has to be with a lot of clothes and drink always hot.

Certainly few days left for the end of the world (according to the Mayans) we are in the countdown, what do you think of this?

Under the "Chocoyos" Bridge by José Moreno

Waking up early, shot great pictures! 6:45 am and watch the sunrise, along with these beautiful mirrored water filled streets, taking kids to school and breathe the air so pure and cold, I’ll wake up early. Ditto

Despertarse temprano, capturar buenas fotos!

Rainbow from on high

Thanks to my friend María Fernanda Chó who captured this beautiful picture, I searched several angles to see it but could not find it and I told her and gladly agreed.

I heard many stories over the rainbow “When the rainbow appears, the rain will end” and so many stories about. You’ve heard stories about rainbows and what’s your favorite? tell us.

The View From Here by Jose Moreno

This post is especially for Eric, who says that if I’m not careful, I might end up with some new neighbors; posting pictures of how beautiful Xela is and all. I tried to stay away from the “pretty” shots for a couple of days, but I just *can’t* do it for very long. I am surprised that more people don’t just up and move here, then again, I remember it being a big step when I did it almost 4 years ago. I have never looked back and never regretted it. But then again…that doesn’t mean y’all should move here. 😉

Impending Storm by Sergio Dominguez

In these lovely, dry and sunny days of March, I still love this stark and bleak photo of guest contributor Sergio Dominguez. Capturing the impending storm in a perfect way, this photo reminds us of the beauty to be seen in the “darker/wetter” season of Guatemala.
