Xela has hundreds of statues. The one on the photograph is located in front of the Municipal Theater (14 av. z 1). Other locations like the Central Park, the Benito Juarez park, Parque Bolivar. The most important and beautiful ones are located on the Cementery, but many bad people have cut heads and another parts of the statues for sale. You need to take a photo-walk, because in few years time there want be left anymore.

The post office

This photograph dates from 1920. The legendary building of the post office of Quetzaltenango. This building exists up to our days. A few years ago I entered the building and observed how the architecture is conserved. Unfortunately, no photographs can be taken.
