Dusk in the Cemetery

Dusk in the Cemetery by Jose Moreno

As much as Josh Bachman loved La Demo, you all probably know by now, I love the Calvario Cemetery. This photo by Jose Moreno captures so many lovely and haunting elements of composition and of the cemetery itself. The sun has set low on the right, casting an appropriately eerie glow on the grounds. The smoke billowing, likely from Santa Aguito, set against the orange and pink sky, Santa Maria standing in dark contrast…ahhh, so many delicious details to see.

Impressive ash cloud from Santiaguito!   I also love el Cementerio!  Especially the very old and ornate tombs.
